In Collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Health and Rutgers Project ECHO.
Community Health Workers (CHWs) are a critical and growing workforce committed to the health and well-being of their neighbors and play an important role in addressing barriers to care, including provider shortages. Through this series, each session will provide online education on key topics related to mental health, legal and community resources, healthcare access, and health literacy. The program is designed to increase your knowledge, skills, and confidence in helping patients understand their options, navigate complex systems, and connect with appropriate supports, while also strengthening your own wellbeing and resilience.
Whether you are a CHW seeking continuing education, a CHW trainee that’s part of the Colette Lamothe-Galette Community Healthcare Worker Institute (CLG-CHWI), or someone seeking a career change to become a CHW, you are welcome to attend this peer-led education and training series. It is designed to equip you with the information and tools you need to improve the overall health of New Jersey communities. All community health workers and front-line providers are welcome to join the series.
Join a panel of experts in a collaborative series to learn more about mental health, community resources, and navigating the health system.
