Healthy Homes for CHWs (Series)

In Collaboration with Isles. The Healthy Homes for Community Health Workers course is intended for individuals who work as health advocates in their communities, whether they are community health workers, health educators, public health nurses, cooperative extension agents, or social workers. This course trains CHWs to deliver one-on-one and large group education on healthy homes, provide advice about specific healthy homes problems, and be able to recommend healthy homes approaches to be taken by families, landlords and other community members. An Introduction to Teen Speak NJ

In collaboration with Childhood and Adolescent Health (New Jersey Department of Health). The presentation will introduce Teen Speak NJ, its purpose, its core content, and how you can join the initiative to help improve communication and help address the mental health crisis. Created by Dr. Jennifer Salerno, Teen Speak is a motivational interviewing-based course designed to strengthen the confidence of parents, caregivers, and youth‑serving professionals. This webinar series explores the facts, myths and scope of Intimate Partner Violence as a public health issue, and will enable the CHW to identify how the health consequences of IPV can affect the individuals and communities they support. In collaboration with Wynn Development Consultants. Effective Case Management training offers a comprehensive approach for individuals seeking to enhance their skills in case management. With a focus on essential competencies such as relationship building, motivational interviewing, service planning, and care coordination, participants will gain the tools necessary to better support their clients. This interactive workshop fosters a collaborative learning environment where attendees can engage in practical exercises and group discussions.
