August: National Breastfeeding Month

The New Jersey Maternal and Infant Health Innovation Authority (NJMIHIA), NJ Supports Breastfeeding and the NJ Breastfeeding Coalition has developed a community calendar of breastfeeding-related events to help celebrate and amplify the incredible work of New Jersey’s maternal and infant health community.

The 2026 National Breastfeeding Month Calendar features nearly 40 events throughout the state, covering nearly every facet of breastfeeding – from breastfeeding support groups to deep diving into the historical context of Black breastfeeding.
