OFSA's Call for Community Stories

Staying connected to communities is essential to the ongoing work of the New Jersey Office of the Food Security Advocate (OFSA). The office is committed to strengthening relationships with communities to understand local collective food security goals and accomplishments, gather and highlight community stories of impact, and hear directly from those working day in and out, and the neighbors they serve, about their ideas for ways OFSA can support their efforts. This summer, OFSA is calling for Community Stories that focuses on the perspectives of Community Health Workers' and Promotoras' food security work.

The following formats are accepted for your story submissions about your work in your community:

  • Pictures

  • Videos (Not more than 2-minutes)

  • Short write-up (up to 300 words)

Please send your story on how you're connecting neighbors to services to build food security to OFSA@ag.nj.gov. Story submissions will be published on the OFSA website and across social media. Submissions will be accepted through September 30, 2024.
